The horse who wore this bridle was sent out to pasture many, many moons ago. We call this one-of-a-kind hat band, Abuela, because like your grandmother, she carries decades of wisdom and was clearly used for many years.
Two glassy green jade beads sit in the front and one sits below the feather bouquet.
The bridle came from a working ranch in Wyoming where the the harsh elements contributed to the cracks and discolorations in the leather. It’s been cleaned and conditioned and is broken-in and pliable.
If it looks like the rivets area bit off-center, that’s because they are! The rivets fill in original punch holes around the band, which were themselves, not perfectly aligned. Perfectly imperfect.
